Happy Easter everyone - my boys aren't even aware what day it is and haven't asked for their eggs yet.
Anyway, I spend a fabulous night crafting away as part of the In Love With Stamping Forum April Cup Challenge. This was where we registered (everyone could enter not just Stampin' Up! Demonstrators) and put into a team. There were Lions, Owls, Monkeys and Giraffes. I was in the Giraffes.
We were set 5 challenges every hour from 7pm to 11pm. Click here to visit the gallery to see what was created last night (over 300 new images to browse through)
I would like to share with you 3 of my creations.
The first Challenge was to use the Babywipe technique - this means apply ink with a babywipe!
For this card I used a circular motion to apply the ink.
Supplies
Stamp Set: Autumn Days
Cardstock: Basic Black, More Mustard, Real Red, backing from DSP pack
Inks: Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Basic Black
Accessories: Silver brads, paper piercer, mat pack, stampamajig, linen thread
For this card I swiped the ink across the ink across the card.
Supplies
Stamp Set: Trendy Trees
Cardstock: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Inks: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon, stampamajig
The next challenge was to use the Wedding theme of something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.
Something New: Occasional Greetings stamp set that I have just acquired
Something Old: Spot On wheel
Something Borrowed: Sieve to create background, candle
Something Blue: Ink and Cardstock
Supplies
Stamp Set: Occasional Greetings, Spot On wheel
Cardstock: Brilliant Blue, Whisper White
Inks: Brilliant Blue
Accessories: Silver elastic cord, paper piercer, stampamajig, wheel guide
What has made this night of crafting worthwhile is the fact the The Giraffes WON.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your chocolate eggs.
Happy Stampin'
Elaine
